Career ChoicesThe "Career Choices" program curriculum is a national program of Big Brothers Big Sisters of America. The focus of the program is aimed at engaging youth (14-16 yrs of age) in education and youth development activities that explore various themes of career exploration. self-awareness, communication, decision-making, team work and academic success. The program is designed to assist Big's (mentors) in integrating important life concepts of work and education into regular day-to-day interactions with their Little's (mentee). Lunch BuddiesThe “Lunch Buddies” program places volunteer (mentor) with elementary and middle school youth. Volunteers are matched with youth at a specific elementary school/site location to work one-on-one or in small groups to help students achieve academic success, social and life skills. This mentoring program provides a wonderful opportunity for mentors who wish to volunteer in a more structured setting. High School Big LeadersThe program is designed to provide High School Big’s (mentors) and Little’s (mentees) the opportunity to meet for one-to-one mentoring in a group setting after-school at a designated school and/or community center. The focus of the program is aimed at engaging High School juniors and seniors (Bigs) with elementary age students (Little’s) in mentoring relationships. The program has a designed curriculum that focuses on academic success, leadership, communication, and fun activities. Ready to get involved? |
